Persian Gulf University Team to Compete in International Geoscience Competition Russia 2026

A team of students and faculty members from the Faculty of Petroleum, Gas, and Petrochemical Engineering at Persian Gulf University (PGU) will represent the university at the International Geoscience Competition Russia 2026, taking place from August 28 to September 9, 2026, in Ufa, Russian Federation.

According to Dr. Arash Khosravi, Director of International Affairs and Non-Iranian Students at Persian Gulf University, the team will participate in the international scientific competition, which is hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation and brings together participants in the field of Earth sciences.

Dr. Khosravi highlighted the significance of the university’s participation, stating: “The participation of Persian Gulf University students in this competition provides a valuable opportunity for scientific engagement, the exchange of knowledge and experience with students and researchers from different countries, and the presentation of the university’s scientific capabilities on international platforms.”

The participation of the PGU team reflects the university’s continued efforts to expand international academic engagement and provide students with opportunities to participate in global scientific events.
